Where the family started

A new job in London meant the family had to move within months. Their daughter was leaving her friends, her language and a school she loved — and she was not sure she wanted to go.

What we did

We looked for a school that would feel like a community, not just a timetable: small boarding houses, a strong languages department and staff who check in every day.

We visited three schools together. She chose the last one herself.

“I thought I would be the new girl for a year. It took about three weeks.”
— From the film

Her first term

In the film she talks about the first weeks — homesick evenings, a housemistress who noticed, and the day she realised she had friends. By December she was helping new girls settle in.

Every child is talented.
The right place lets it show.
